A Boy and His Phone

Sometimes, it feels like Ethan is constantly on the phone. So, one day while we were riding trax i decided to capture his obsession. I then created this simple page to highlight my feelings. = ). I think the Scenic Route letter paper really brings out the idea of texting. Finally I have a lot of rub-on letter that don't have a lot of letters left int hem. But, after combining all of them I think I came up with a fun hodge podge design. I actually think that I like the crazy title better than I would if it actually all matched.

Blood Donors Wanted

About two years ago I was looking up ideas for Halloween titles for scrapbook pages and stumbled across the saying "Blood Donors Wanted". Even though it didn't work for the page that I was working on at the time, I thought that it was an awesome idea for some kind of Home decor Project. Finally, I made a project with the saying for Halloween this year, and I think that it is coming out cute. A little plain, but cute. I think I'm going to do a couple more layers of Mod-Podge and then add some "bling" or something else. If you have any helpful inspiration to help it pop a little I would love suggestions.

I used a Canvas Panel for the base of this project. I got the idea from my sister-in-law Kory. She made us this super cute version using photos of Ethan and I for our family's gift exchange last Christmas.Even though I had seen these in the store before I had never given them any attention. Thanks Kory. Before I attached anything else I painted the whole canvas orange. The image of the vampire and the Bloody font I used on "Wanted" come form the Cricut Happy Hauntings Cartridge. The words "Blood Donors" comes from the Sesame Street Font cartridge.

I really do love this and can't wait to hang it!

My Harvest Angel

I just found these pictures as I was downloading my camera. I had totally forgotten about them.

So before I hung up my fall wreath I couldn't help torturing Ethan with it first. Of course it wasn't enough to just torture my poor hubby, I also had to take pictures. I'm so thankful that Ethan is so patient with his momentary torture. I might feel like a bad wife, except for the fact that the pictures turned out so cute. Except for the clenched teeth, he does look like some kind of ancient Harvest Angel.

Cricut Craft Room

Okay, so nothing to show today, but I still have something crafty to share. For those of you with a Cricut (or a Cricut Create) Provo Craft is developing a new program for use with their Personal Cutters. If you have ever used the program Cricut Design Studio you know that it isn't always the easiest thing to do. Similarly, although they made a lot of improvements, the Gypsy wasn't much better. But, all of that is being solved with the new program Cricut Craft Room. Now we can do everything in just one program. Best of all you don't have to buy a $150 machine! Right now you can download and use this program for FREE!!!!

Just go here and get started: http://www.cricut.com/craftroom/

Enjoy.
